Logical Design
My early days in the IT industry, especially my time as a web intern at US West have proved invaluable to me. At that time my supervisors and colleagues helped me understand the importance of understanding the code and syntax that drive web pages. This led me to dive into learning the ins and outs of HTML. As I adapted to creating web pages by hand code, I was able to branch out to Javascript, CSS and eventually to server side languages. My time as a UI developer at Compaq Computer helped me bridge the gap of a web designer to a web developer who thinks more like software engineer.

System Design
A usable system needs to be organized, structured and labled in a manner that allows users to painlessly navigate their way through it's workflows. It's navigation elements should help users find information and complete tasks. To make this possible, we help put the pieces of the larger picture together, so each piece within the system works in harmony. An important objective in creating a good information architecture is understanding the main components: Organization of data, labeling systems, navigation systems and search systems. The Information Architectures that we craft help users understand where they are, and what they can expect to do in the system.
Web Site & Web Application Development
After determining the IA for a project, we then put together a strategy to build the functionality for each component of the system. We adhere to design principles and W3C standards to develop usable, maintainable sites and applications.
Web Technologies Training
Training on content management systems, data analytics dashboard and other tools used to create web site and applications we make is a standard part of our services.
Logical design is needed when planning new system and site architectures, to how code will be drafted to produce specific functionality. We'd love to help you solve your logical design problems.

Emery County Libraries - Web Development & CMS Training

Project Year: 2022
The mission of the Emery County Library System is to provide the resources and services for lifelong learning, the space and opportunities to gather and connect, and to foster a love of reading.
They were looking for a modern design that could be powered by a user friendly a CMS for their staff to make needed updates to content for each library branch. They also asked us to help them create a new branding and guidelines that would strengthen the trust and vision of the organization

Approach:
- Conducted a heuristic review and code audit of existing site
- Conducted a SWOT analysis of competitor sites
- Conducted a review of web publishing options
Original Web Site
Solutions:
- Initially we put together an overall development plan for the design and development of the new site.
- Once we had a work breakdown structure agreed upon, we focused on creation of new branding with accompanying style tiles for use in the site design.
- Next we created a new information architecture for both the user and admin features. These were used to craft wireframes that demonstrated the new proposed design concepts.
- Approved wireframes were converted into more high fidelity mockups
- Developed all front and backend code for site, and published to existing servers. This included the ability for branch staff to add and edit content on their own, as opposed to only being able to upload static pdf newsletters as they were limited to on their old site.
- Workflow training, HTML templates and style guide was created for staff to use to produce and publish content on their own

XAngels of Eureka was an organization that was committed to supporting those grieving loss of loved ones in death. They had a brick and mortar gift shop in Arkansas whose proceeds went to support various relevant causes, but they wanted to take this shop online, as well as create a Facebook-like online service that would allow families to create private communities to share memories and offer support.
This was a project that would comprise two websites with separate, but related branding and integration between them. An online store and a Facebook like social media web application.

Approach:
- Conducted initial needs analysis with the client to paint a clear picture of the scope of the dual aspects of the envisioned project.
- Performed a competitive analysis of small shops that had online presence as well as community focused portals
Development Plan
Solutions:
- Created information architecture for two separate custom systems that would be linked together with shareable/post-able elements across both sites.
- Used IA to create wireframes that demonstrated the flow from screen to screen as well as basic layout concepts
- Vetted wireframes converted into mockups and prototypes to be used in development
- Completed designs were implemented into a custom installation of Magento Open Source for the online store and a custom social media portal created with Angular JS.

Project Year: 2020
Chef Joseph Ushinski had a site that he had built with an online site creator that was not meeting his needs to run his business online. He needed a new site that would convey his catering services in a professional way, and allow clients to learn about and book dates for catered events.

After we drafted a new information architecture scheme, as well as low fidelity wireframes for the new site's UI, we shifted our focus to the logical design needs for the project.
We also created new branding and design style tiles for the visual look of the site.

- We next created a development plan for converting prototype designs into templates for Craft CMS
- Functionality to allow clients to submit event reservation requests by date and menu was also added.
- Finally we trained client staff on usage of the Craft CMS admin panel to make site updates and additions.
